Part of the Faction Wars system is to have upgradable, expandable and semi-permanent defenses, infrastructure and stations.

I have created dozens of entities for this system including but not limited to, batteries, relays, alarms, distributors, turrets, repair stations, logic gates, switches, manufacturing, generators, and more.

The goal for these stations is to have many options for a faction to spend resources on to create an always evolving need for more resources other than just "wealth hording" a faction becomes rich, not by having 1000 scrap, but by spending that scrap to remove it from the player-ran economy, this will keep inflation down and keep the value of the caps up. This is done by having creation, repairs, upgrades and maintenance all consume some form of money, item or both.

Defenses will also help you keep your wealth by selectively targeting other factions and players, turrets will be your first line of defense at keeping enemies out. So make sure you build plenty of them!
